The Movement Needs You!

Maybe you have pondered making a real difference in the world, but haven’t found a cause that has captured your attention. As a part of the  modern day abolitionist movement, you can join with thousands of other people around the world who are working to stop human trafficking! The fact is there are more slaves today (the number has now reached 30 million) than the total number that were bought and sold during the four centuries of the trans-Atlantic slave trade!

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Edmund Burke,  Abolitionist Movement Pioneer

Heroes of the Past

Today we sit on the shoulders of great people who have gone before us. For example:

William Wilberforce who as a member of Parliament worked around the clock over two decades to outlaw slavery in England.

Abolitionist movement leader John Brown, whose passionate and radical devotion to wipe out slavery resulted in his own death by hanging.

Abolitionist movement leader Frederick Douglas, whose outstanding oratory and passionate antislavery writings created a firewall that stood against the slavery of his day.

Abolitionist movement leader  Harriet Tubman, an escaped slave herself, conducted approximately thirteen missions to rescue more than 70 slaves by using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.

Maybe you have seen the need, but don’t know what to do about it. We at Justice For Youth would invite you to join the JFY abolitionist movement and collaborate with us as we combat human trafficking and modern day slavery. We have provided tools on this site to get you started! Check out our Abolitionist Movement Resources page for downloads and tools.
